Train Show and also took our longest trip ever - to the Indianapolis Convention Center in
Indianapolis, IN. The club operated a 20'x44' HO scale layout

For the 2016 Railroad Hobby Show, progress has been continuing on the new modules which debuted at last year's show. Many were in the final prep stages for this summer's National Train Show. In addition, the new O scale <a href="http://www.tributetospringfield.com/" target="_blank"><i>Tribute to Springfield</i></a> layout was on display along with the G scale layout.<br />

The 2013 edition of the club railfan trip brought the club backs to some of our favorite hot spots but also included some new destinations. The group was able to see the Age of Steam roundhouse as well as take a tour of a model railroad club in Lewistown, PA.<br />

After a long summer of revamping the layout, the HO scale modules were looking good for the 2013 Railroad Hobby Show. Besides the appearance renovations like green fascia paint and new black skirting, the club converted the layout to DCC which meant all new wiring and harness for over 70 module sections.<br />

On the scorching hot weekend of July 23-24, 2011, the Amtrak 40th
Anniversary Train was parked out in front of New London Union Station as
part of its nationwide trip celebrating the history of Amtrak. As part
of this event, the club displayed a 12'x20' HO scale layout which
featured Amtrak equipment cruising around the layout for the duration of
the weekend.<br />

The Cheshire Show is one of the more enduring local train shows in
Connecticut. Held at the Cheshire High School, the show benefits the
High School’s excellent marching band, and has been running strong for
well over 20 years. This year’s show was as enjoyable as ever.
Attendance is typically strong, and the line outside the front door of
the High School was evidence that this year was no exception.<br />
